Having Trouble Seeing the Class Schedule?

Every email and telephone call I've gotten from anyone having trouble seeing the newly posted class schedule has been very easily resolved by asking the person to hit the "refresh" button on their browser!

You see, when you camp out on a website - as many of you have been doing on the class page the past few days, your computer "saves" a copy to your hard drive - to make it load faster! When you hit refresh - your browser goes out and gets a NEW copy of that page!

So - if you can't see the new stuff on our site - just hit "refresh" and you'll be golden!!

The link come by way of a Marketing blog that I follow - so I was surprised when I got there and realized "HEY, I bet a lot of scrappers would LOVE to look at this cool stuff!"

The blog is called The DieLine, and it features great packaging design. Great design is great design, no matter where you find it!

This is the class that the photo just DOESN'T do it justice... watch the video below to get a better picture of the class! If Piggy Tales had had their other class samples in the booth, I would have videoed them too - but I'm guessing they are just as under-represented by their photos! (Those previews will follow tomorrow and Friday!) Oh, and I'm sorry for repeating "how cool this class is going to be", and I can't believe I said pitcher instead of picture. I didn't go to broadcast journalism school. I'll work on it!!

LONG Overdue Post about CHA

The internet conspired against me in California! I tried about a half a dozen times to get this video clip to upload so I could post it here for you - and it would just FREEZE. High Speed Wireless Internet, my foot. And, because our hotel charged $9.95/day for it - I'm sorry guys - I wouldn't pay for another night's worth. I rebooted the machine, made sure the upload was the only process running - and left it merrily uploading while we went to eat dinner. When we got back - it had frozen once again! By then, my time was up.

But, enough griping.... we found StacyJ to do a short promo for her keynote. Um. We had the giggles. Oh, and in Take 2 - Cara saw Stacy grab the scissors, but didn't know what she planned to do with them until the cameras were rolling. Enjoy!



OK - so then - we're moseying the show floor finding other good stuff, and lining up other good classes... and we stop in the Quick Quotes booth - to see your favorite instructor Michelle Granger... and when we break the news to her that StacyJ is coming to do the keynote... well, we just had to have her do a take 2 and video her reaction!


People always ask you, as you wander the floor "What's your favorite new thing?"... well, our favorite, hands down, was the new cardstock from Core'dinations. You can emboss and sand the top layer to reveal the inner "core" which is either a monochromatic coordinating color - or in the case of the Black Magic line - the top layer is black, and the core can be any of a rainbow of colors!

I'm also behind in Class Previews - also because of internet issues! I took a video of a class sample that the photo just did NOT do it justice. I'll post that next!

CHA - Day One Report

It's late (early) - and I didn't take many (any?) photos on the show floor today (I think I took one photo of a layout I want to scraplift on my cell phone!!)- but I have some surprises up my sleeve for tomorrow!!

We had a great day here - we've been busy filling in the gaps in the class schedule, and I'm so excited about some of the new classes we've been able to secure today! I hope to include them in class previews soon!!

Lots of new product out here - but most of it has been sneak previewed on the individual company's blogs in the past week or so. My personal faves? The Jolie Chocolate line from SEI, the Flambeax line from Cosmo Cricket, all the new Maya Road stuff (can't help it - I'm addicted to Maya Road!). WeR has the new Big Bite here - which I already ordered and received from HSN - LOVE IT! Making Memories has the new "slice" which is a die cut machine on the order of the cricut - but much smaller. If you are looking for portability as your #1 criteria, it's great. If speed is your #1 priority - stick with one of the bigger machines.

There is lots of other great stuff here - but since our priority is different than a retailer - sometimes we miss some of it!
